Aaron Rodgers Announces Intention to Play for New York Jets

In an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Wednesday, quarterback Aaron Rodgers stated his intention to play for the New York Jets during the upcoming season.

He indicated that he came to this decision on Friday and is not impeding the trade process, which has yet to be finalized.

According to sources, the Packers and Jets are still in communication as they work to reach an agreement on trade compensation and the restructuring of Rodgers’ contract.

Negotiations are ongoing, and while the Packers are willing to trade Rodgers, there are still unresolved matters that need to be addressed.

“I have been clear about my desire to play for the New York Jets, and I have not been the one holding up the process. The Packers are working to secure compensation for me, and that is the sticking point,” Rodgers explained. “The Packers have expressed a desire to move on, and I am simply looking forward to continuing my career with a new team.”
